Swansea Pride

Swansea Pride is a registered charity, managed and run entirely by volunteers, that promotes equality; raises awareness of the issues faced by LGBT people; celebrates the diversity of the LGBT community and hosts an annual LGBT festival which is held in Swansea, Wales on the last Saturday of June each year.

The first festival took place on the Lacrosse Field, Singleton Park on the 28 June 2009.[1] Over 3,000 people attended the event,[2] where Kelly Llorenna, Scooch and drag queens entertained the crowd. The festival was also used as a way to raise money and awareness for the HIV and AIDS charity, Terrence Higgins Trust.

Swansea Pride 2012 is scheduled for Saturday 30th 2012.[3]
